CHAIRMAN PM’S YOUTH PROGRAMME RANA MASHHOOD MEETS TOP ENTREPRENEURS IN US TO EXPAND YOUTH VENTURES

WASHINGTON D.C. / ISLAMABAD — On his official visit to the United States aimed at fostering global partnerships, the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, held a strategic meeting with prominent overseas Pakistani entrepreneur and philanthropist Tanweer Ahmed, alongside Uzair Hasan, CEO of the Maxum Group.

The high-level engagement focused on creating robust pathways for Pakistani youth in the sectors of entrepreneurship, digital skills, and global business alignment.

Key Discussion Focus Areas

The meeting centered around leveraging the expertise of the Pakistani diaspora to empower the country’s youth bulge. Key areas of collaboration included:

  • Socio-Economic Entrepreneurship: Establishing mentorship and incubation frameworks backed by international tech and corporate leaders.
  • Skill Development & Funding: Exploring venture capital funding and corporate training opportunities for young Pakistani startup founders through overseas networks.
  • Global Market Integration: Creating channels to connect local Pakistani talent and youth-led businesses with standard US and global marketplaces.

Empowering the Next Generation

Chairman Rana Mashhood emphasized that the primary objective of his official US visit—which also includes addressing the United Nations High-Level Political Forum—is to shift Pakistan towards an innovation-driven economy by securing meaningful global allies.

He briefed the business leaders on the flagship initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme designed to unlock human capital, promote digital inclusion, and foster self-sustainability.

“Our diaspora remains an invaluable asset. By bridging the gap between top-tier global entrepreneurs and our talented youth, we can build a resilient ecosystem that turns job seekers into job creators.”
