ISLAMABAD — Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, chaired a high-level meeting of the National Coordination Committee to review implementation progress and align inter-ministerial efforts for the National Youth Employment Policy (NYEP).

The meeting brought together leadership from across the federal government to ensure that Pakistan’s educational, vocational, and economic frameworks are directly matched with current labor market requirements.

• Economic & Industrial Growth: Secretary Commerce, Secretary Board of Investment (BOI), and Secretary Industries & Production.
• Social Sector & Human Capital: Secretary Federal Education & Professional Training, Secretary Poverty Alleviation & Social Protection, and Secretary National Food Security & Research.
• Digital & Technical Leadership: Secretary IT, Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC), Executive Director NAVTTC, and Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The committee evaluated implementation roadmaps designed to transition young graduates and skilled workers into sustainable employment:

• Labor Market Mapping: Bridging the gap between educational output and market demand across high-growth sectors.
• Inter-Ministerial Synergies: Harmonizing policies between IT, agriculture, commerce, and industrial bodies to facilitate market integration and job absorption.
• Financial & Entrepreneurial Support: Coordinating with the State Bank of Pakistan and the Board of Investment to streamline access to capital and business setup resources for young entrepreneurs.
• Vocational & High-Tech Training: Expanding technical training programs through NAVTTC and HEC to align domestic skills with both national and international job opportunities.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from all participating secretaries and institutional heads to establish synchronized execution timelines, ensuring the policy delivers measurable employment outcomes across the country.
