KARACHI, PAKISTAN — In a historic milestone for Pakistan’s automotive and maritime sectors, the country has successfully received its first-ever specialized Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) shipment of automobiles. The massive 220-meter vessel, M.V. Grande Shanghai, successfully berthed at the Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose Limited (KGTML) terminal of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT).

KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) maintained seamless, round-the-clock port operations over the last 24 hours, handling a robust total of 177,148 metric tonnes of cargo.

According to the daily port performance indicators, the heavy cargo volume successfully moved through the port consisted of 135,116 metric tonnes of import cargo and 42,032 metric tonnes of export cargo.
