KARACHI — In a gesture of institutional continuity and shared vision, the former Chairman of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi, called on the current Chairman, Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed SI(M) S.Bt (Retd.), at the KPT Head Office.

The high-level meeting served as a platform to review the port’s rapid operational trajectory. During the discussion, Mr. Zaidi highly lauded the recent landmark achievements of Karachi Port—most notably its demonstrated capability to seamlessly berth and handle ultra-large container vessels.

The former chief explicitly commended the tireless efforts of the entire KPT workforce, attributing the port’s enhanced maritime performance, upgraded handling speeds, and strengthening regional status to the collective dedication of its employees. Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed welcomed the appreciation, reiterating KPT’s commitment to sustaining this growth momentum through modern infrastructure and robust maritime policies.
