PM’s Youth Programme Chiefs Meet to Boost Creative Talent and Arts Sector

ISLAMABAD — In a major initiative to celebrate and elevate Pakistan’s creative minds, the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, held a strategic meeting with Mr. Sami Awan, an acclaimed International Youth Artist representing Pakistan on global platforms.

The meeting focused on establishing robust frameworks to promote young artistic talent, foster creative excellence, and provide Pakistani youth with the necessary platforms to showcase their work both nationally and internationally.

Key Highlights of the Meeting:

  • Promoting Youth Artistry: The discussion highlighted the need to design specialized mentorship programs, art exhibitions, and talent hunts to discover and nurture raw creative talent across the country.
  • Global Exposure for Pakistani Art: Strategies were reviewed to connect young Pakistani artists with international creative hubs, residency programs, and global art networks to showcase Pakistan’s vibrant cultural landscape.
  • Art as a Career Path: Both leaders emphasized the importance of developing the creative economy, turning artistic passion into sustainable professions through entrepreneurial training and industry linkages.

Nurturing the Creative Spirit

During the session, Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan underscored that art and culture are vital tools for building a soft image of Pakistan and channeling youth energy into positive, expressive avenues.

“Our youth possess incredible creative brilliance. By partnering with internationally recognized young icons like Mr. Sami Awan, we aim to build a strong ecosystem that supports, funds, and celebrates our young artists, writers, and creators,” stated Rana Mashhood.

Mr. Sami Awan lauded the vision of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and expressed his commitment to giving back to the community by mentoring the next generation of creative leaders under the PMYP umbrella.
