ISLAMABAD — Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has signed a strategic contract with Canada’s Synergetic Oil Tools Inc. to deploy advanced Passive Energy Tool technology across its heavy crude oil fields, aiming to significantly boost production and operational efficiency.
The contract signing ceremony took place at OGDCL Headquarters in Islamabad, with Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan, attending as the chief guest alongside OGDCL Managing Director and CEO Ahmed Hayat Lak. Synergetic Oil Tools Inc. President and CEO Brian Herman participated in the event virtually, joined by senior representatives from OGDCL, Synergetic, and the Canadian High Commission.
Optimizing Production in Viscous Wells
Under the terms of the agreement, Synergetic will deploy its proprietary Passive Energy Tool technology in OGDCL’s heavy crude oil wells to address key flow assurance challenges in highly viscous reservoirs.
