ISLAMABAD / ANKARA — In a move to strengthen diplomatic ties and empower youth across borders, Mr. Touseef Tahir Bhatti has been officially nominated as the Focal Person to the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) for Overseas Youth Engagement in Türkiye.
The honorary appointment aims to establish a direct bridge between the Pakistani government and the vibrant Pakistani diaspora residing in Türkiye, expanding international development initiatives and creating structured avenues for young professionals and students abroad.
Core Objectives of the Role
1. Strengthening Diaspora Engagement
The appointment aims to enhance ties with young overseas Pakistanis living, studying, and working across Türkiye. Through targeted outreach, the initiative will facilitate structured platforms for dialogue, civic contribution, and cultural exchange.
2. Expanding Employment & Skill Pathways
A key priority under this mandate is opening productive employment, internship, and skill-building opportunities for youth through strategic partnerships with local organizations, institutions, and industrial sectors in Türkiye.
3. Fostering Bilateral Youth Partnerships
By leveraging strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, the Focal Person will coordinate joint initiatives, youth exchange programs, and entrepreneurial collaborations designed to drive mutual growth and social impact.
