ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — Solidifying its status as the crown jewel of the national service economy, Pakistan’s information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services (ITeS) exports closed the fiscal year 2025-26 at a historic $4.6 billion.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the sector achieved a phenomenal 21% year-on-year growth, surging past last year’s $3.8 billion mark. With this milestone, technology has firmly cemented its position as by far the largest services export category in the country, accounting for nearly 46% of total service-related foreign exchange inflows.
