LAHORE — The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan-Netherlands Dairy Development Centre (PNDDC), acting through FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL), to drive green and climate-smart agricultural training across Punjab’s livestock and dairy sectors.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed Khan, Chief Executive Officer of PSDF, and Syed Saud Ahmad Pasha, Director Dairy Development (Middle East, Pakistan, and Africa) at FrieslandCampina. Senior leadership from both organizations attended the ceremony, including PSDF Head of Digital and Green Programmes Akbar Hussain and FrieslandCampina Programme Manager Humera Iqbal.
Strategic Synergies for Green Growth
The collaboration merges PNDDC’s “grass-to-glass” dairy development platform with PSDF’s results-focused, competency-based skills delivery framework.
By connecting local farmers, professionals, and students with national and international agri-tech networks, the initiative aims to build a modern, climate-resilient dairy workforce.
Core Focus Areas under PSDF’s SAGE Program
Training modules will be rolled out under PSDF | Haryali’s Skills for Agriculture and Green Environment (SAGE) program, utilizing both physical and digital learning channels:
- Climate-Smart Dairy Farming: Introducing sustainable livestock management practices and climate-resilient farming techniques.
- Technical Standards & Quality Assurance: Leveraging PSDF’s competency-based frameworks for curriculum design and technical standardisation.
- Global Agri-Tech Knowledge Exchange: Delivering virtual sessions and workshops featuring Dutch and international dairy experts.
- Supply Chain Capacity Building: Upskilling smallholder farmers, dairy intermediaries, and agricultural students across Punjab.

Speaking at the signing, PSDF CEO Ahmed Khan emphasized that transforming Pakistan’s livestock potential into economic performance requires aligned global expertise and modern skills. Representatives from FrieslandCampina reaffirmed their commitment to deploying Dutch dairy expertise to support local farm productivity and sustainable agricultural livelihoods in Pakistan.
