Balochistan Lawmakers Meet NAVTTC Chairman to Boost Vocational Skills and Youth Training

ISLAMABAD — Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Pullin Baloch and Senator Sana Jamali from Balochistan held a bilateral meeting with Chairman of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Engr. Qamar-ul-Islam Raja, at NAVTTC Headquarters in Islamabad.

The meeting focused on reviewing NAVTTC’s ongoing skill development initiatives across Pakistan, with an emphasis on expanding technical and vocational education and training (TVET) infrastructure and capacity within Balochistan.

Priority Areas of Discussion

  • Regional Skill Expansion: Increasing access to market-relevant technical training centers and specialized trade programs for youth in remote and under-resourced districts of Balochistan.
  • Youth Empowerment & Employability: Aligning TVET curricula with domestic industrial requirements and overseas employment opportunities to improve income generation for young graduates.
  • Targeted Vocational Programs: Enhancing specialized skills tracks—including IT, modern agriculture, high-tech trades, and industrial crafts—to ensure equitable economic inclusion for the province’s youth.

Chairman Engr. Qamar-ul-Islam Raja reiterated NAVTTC’s commitment to delivering inclusive, high-quality technical education across all provinces, noting that empowering the youth of Balochistan through practical skill sets remains a core objective of the national skills agenda.
