Pakistan Banking Summit 2026 Concludes with Strategic Dialogue on Financial Inclusion and Agri-MSME Growth

KARACHI — The second edition of the Pakistan Banking Summit 2026 (PBS’26) successfully convened in Karachi, bringing together banking executives, financial regulators, policy experts, and international leaders to shape the future of Pakistan’s banking and economic landscape.

Organized as a high-level platform for thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, the summit focused on key strategies to accelerate economic growth, digital transformation, and priority-sector financing.

1. Expanding Access to Finance and Fostering Innovation

Addressing the gathering, Simon Andrews, Regional Director for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), highlighted the vital role of developmental finance in emerging markets.

  • SME & Agriculture Focus: Andrews emphasized expanding access to capital for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and the agricultural sector to drive sustainable economic growth.
  • Building Financial Ecosystems: Discussions centered on building resilient financial infrastructure, encouraging private sector investment, and fostering digital financial innovation across priority sectors.

The summit witnessed active participation from senior banking executives, policy leaders, and institution heads, including:
