LAHORE — As part of its ongoing efforts to accelerate digital transformation across public sector organizations, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) conducted a comprehensive training session on the e-Filing & Office Automation System (e-FOAS) for the Directorate General Enforcement (Prices & Consumer Protection).
The Directorate General Enforcement is an attached body of the Food Safety & Consumer Protection Department.
Key Highlights of the Training
- Leadership & Attendance: The training session was chaired by Director Admin & Finance Shahid Iqbal. It was attended actively by senior officials as well as supporting staff of the directorate.
- Core Focus: PITB Assistant Program Officer e-FOAS, Muhammad Hammad Zahid, led the session. He provided the attendees with a detailed, end-to-end overview of electronic file movement, standardized digital documentation practices, and overall workflow optimization through automation.
- Interactive Learning: The training concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to address specific operational queries regarding the system’s day-to-day implementation.
Driving the “Digital Pakistan” Vision
Developed entirely by PITB, e-FOAS is already successfully operational across numerous government departments. The system is designed to seamlessly transform traditional, paper-based workflows into a fully secure and automated paperless environment.
By scaling initiatives like e-FOAS, PITB continues to champion the “Digital Pakistan” vision—drastically reducing manual paperwork, cutting down operational costs, and significantly enhancing administrative efficiency and transparency across the public sector.
