ISLAMABAD — Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, chaired a high-level review meeting with representatives from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to evaluate the implementation framework for the establishment of “Country of Destination Centres.”
The meeting focused heavily on the identification of priority destination centers by both HEC and NAVTTC, alongside a detailed deliberation on the operational blueprint required to roll out the initiative effectively under the Prime Minister’s directives.
Key Focus Areas of the Initiative
The strategic session brought together key education and technical training stakeholders to align national human resource development with international requirements:
- Strategic Identification: Mapping and prioritizing key global destination markets where Pakistani youth can access high-value opportunities.
- Institutional Coordination: Strengthening the synergy between HEC and NAVTTC to bridge the gap between higher education, technical training, and executive placement.
- Global Skill Alignment: Designing educational and skill development pathways that strictly conform to modern international market demands, ensuring global compatibility for Pakistani qualifications.
Through this coordinated initiative, the government aims to empower Pakistani youth by equipping them with the specific skills, certifications, and academic training required to successfully secure employment and educational pathways abroad.
