ISLAMABAD — In a major push to boost civic engagement and community service across the country, the Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, held a strategic meeting with Ms. Zainab, representing the Saheli Organization.

The high-level discussion focused on establishing a collaborative roadmap between the PMYP and the Saheli Organization under the umbrella of the National Volunteer Corps (NVC) initiative. The partnership aims to mobilize the country’s youth to drive meaningful social impact and promote a robust culture of volunteerism throughout Pakistan.

Key Highlights of the Strategic Partnership:

  • Strengthening Youth Engagement: The collaboration will design targeted frameworks to actively involve young Pakistanis—particularly young women—in structured community development and social welfare projects.
  • Empowering the National Volunteer Corps: Discussions centered on utilizing the Saheli Organization’s grassroots network to expand the reach and operational capacity of the NVC, creating a well-trained network of young volunteers.
  • Driving Grassroots Social Impact: Both leaderships explored joint initiatives focusing on women’s empowerment, education, health awareness, and community resilience at the local level.

Fostering a Culture of Selfless Service

During the meeting, Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan emphasized that a thriving nation relies heavily on the spirit of volunteerism. He highlighted that the National Volunteer Corps is the ideal platform to channel the energy of Pakistani youth toward constructive social change.

“Volunteering not only transforms communities but also instills leadership, empathy, and invaluable life skills in our youth. By partnering with dedicated organizations like Saheli, we are building a more compassionate and socially responsible generation,” stated Rana Mashhood.

Ms. Zainab lauded the vision of the PM’s Youth Programme and expressed the Saheli Organization’s strong commitment to working hand-in-hand with the government to create inclusive, impactful opportunities for the youth of Pakistan.
